The Seating Plan Man

Rob Cowen

Founder

For 14 years, Rob taught science at high schools in London, San Francisco and Manchester. In October 2015, he got so fed up with making seating plans by hand that he decided to build a better way. 160,935 teachers around the world liked what he built.

Since 2025, Rob has run Seating Plan full-time from Malmö, Sweden, focusing on outstanding customer service and continually improving the platform to meet the needs of teachers.

Rob also created the popular GCSE and A Level revision app BRaiN Glue, the YouTube channel Cowen Physics, and tutors A Level and IB Physics students.
